The aluminum V8 that they bought is not the "Nailhead", one only has to look at one to see that. Here are some pics of Nailheads, so called because the valves were small and easily identified by the vertical valve covers... ...just click on any of the pics to see more!

The early SWC cars ran Oldsmobile engines not Buick "Nailheads", then the Hemi's took over...
