Don't forget that in most cases the dually boxes were just a standard wide box with stepside fenders added. Not hard to make, at all.

Hubba hubba

Beautiful work as always, Steve.

Nice job, Nick...and "Holmes Sweet Holmes"...I lol'd.

I had the typical nightmare builds from when I was a kid -- the Revell VW Bus, which I believe was the first model I actually threw at the wall as hard as I could, and the '57 Ranchero, which I tried and tried so many times that eventually I just made the mating surfaces so goobered there was no way any two parts were going together without major corrective surgery.
Now, I'd love to try either again. Between CA/kicker, Ambroid/Tenax, and just a whole lot more patience and skill, I think I'd be very pleased with them as kits. The Futura and Club De Mur are both on my want list, as well.

He knows that, Harry...he thinks he's being clever, or ironic. *cough*
Before CImmaronPat gets this one closed, too...
I also have not been able to get enthused about F1 racing since Senna died. I sat there at home like so many others, completely stunned, while they worked to get him out of his race car. Senna is an amazing documentary and if you've never watched it, you're truly missing something special. I hope to god that they never follow through on the threats of making a Senna movie...there's no way to capture his story as well as the real deal.
And yes, turn it up loud. Really loud.

Thanks, Matthew. This is a car I've had in my head for a long, long time...it'll get there but the anticipation is getting to me. lol

Good lookin' combo. Should pop nicely once it's foiled up.

Oddly enough, the Mustang lends itself to that treatment rather well. I like it.

These, plus a roll of masking tape, are all I HAVE to have (including the dMt.Dew)...everything else is a luxury.
Tom, I use a hacksaw blade for a straight edge as well. The teeth make for great anti-slip devices.

Welcome back, Lane.
(I've been wonderin' the same, Joker)

Nope, Pat...haven't forgotten a thing. So what's all the exclamation points? Is that one for each time you thump your chest? I can't tell what you're doing there, exactly...but it seems kinda monkey-like and of course makes it that much more funny.
Seriously, though...this has become a "last word" thing, I think. You go ahead and take the last word, Pat. I have a feeling you may burst something if this keeps going.

Thanks. Bill.
Got the body all cleaned up and re-shot in primer, and sprayed the roof. I'm gonna let this set up a while before I do the bottom again.

Cool Olds. Man, Missing Link is really starting to rack up a hefty pile of things that I want.
What paint is that on the wheels' spokes?
-
Well worth starting over...lookin' much better, Rob. Nice work.

One of these days I'm going to buy a case of those Pontiac customs, just for the acre of diamond tuck. I did a Malibu wagon interior but it ate up both the kits I had...I shoulda thought smaller, like you!
Cool 'lil hot rod.

Lookin' great...

Actually, it has moved farther down than that, then I would see that it'd been brought back up to the top again with a musical reference. If my brain has gone so soft as to confuse that as a bump when it's actually a reply, then you have my full apologies.
But hey, if you want to keep adding to the entertainment value of the thread, whether it be ironic or otherwise, please...do feel free.

EXactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Harry, I've been wanting to post that same blatantly obvious observation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CadillacPat
...Sayeth one of thee who keepeth bumping when thread hath passed...
And yes, Harry...I DO think that's a riot! haha!

'Preciate it.
I had to strip the first run at the color due to dirt I missed in the paint cup. Re-cleaned everything but that, so wouldn't ya know it. That in itself was no big deal...an hour or so with the high test alky on a cloth and it was ready to go...but I apparently missed one little sliver while masking the body off, and some alky wicked down through the mask onto the trunk.
. Dunkittydunk a day in the junk.

Is this still going? Good grief, guys.
The funniest part about it being 9 pages of beating a dead horse is that 7 of those pages aren't even beating on the horse that was brought to the water to begin with.
Seriously. I find that really funny. A little pathetic, but really funny.
