  1. Yes I did watch the video. Watching the Grand Sport pass the Ferrari prototype was most impressive. It appears that the small coolers were fitted for practice but not for the race. I will have to decide which version I want to make.
  2. So the answer is in a book that I don't have........
  3. Concerning the white #4 version - I believe I read somewhere that this car never raced with the rear end cooler that is included in the kit. Is this true? Anyone have pictures? Thanks.
  4. Terrific job Brian. Really beautiful car.
  5. Great job. Glad you are building again.
  6. Terrific job. You have taken what was basically a slot car body to the next level. Awesome.
  7. Excellent job Brian. Looking forward to your next project.
  8. Congratulations to Bob Shelton for making two issues in a row. Perhaps next month will feature a picture of him standing up.
  9. Thanks for all of the help. I agree that the 330 P4 is one of the best looking Ferrari's ever. In the late '60's, Shell had an offer that if you sent them $5, you got three large cut-away drawings: the 330 P4, Ford GT MkIV, and the Chapparal 2F. I hung mine up by my slot track. Still have 'em too.
  10. I am about to start this kit and want to build the car as it ran at LeMans. The kit includes both Goodyear and Firestone tire decals. Which is correct? I am leaning towards Firestone but would like to be sure. Thanks for any help
  11. Great work so far Jim. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.
  12. Fantastic looking car. Awesome job on the decals. S__r_b?
  13. Great job on a beautiful car Brian.
  14. Great job Jim. It will look good sitting next to the Audi. Now, back to the Scarab!
  15. Nice job Billy. Your skills have really improved over the years. Keep it up!
  16. I was trying to figure out who the drivers of the historical cars were. The dark blue helmet with the white stripe around the visor is Jacky Ickx. The white helmet with the small blue stripes - Chris Amon or John Surtees? Any more help would be appreciated.
  17. I saw a comment about this on another board. The comment was that when we buy a kit, we also think we are buying the time to build it. I think this is a very valid point of view.
  18. Most of my contacts with famous people happened at Mid-Ohio. Dan Gurney almost ran me over with his scooter. Paul Newman parked next to me in his rental car. Walter Peyton gave me his autograph after spinning his race car. I got to spend an hour with Benny Parsons at a local car show. I also met Mutt Anderson (famous Indy car mechanic) and Pat Dakin (drag racer) at the same show. This is a great topic.
  19. Wow - that looks great. I am looking forward to seeing it completed.
  20. They are all great looking, but the Red Farmer car is awesome!
  21. Your modifications really improve the look of that kit. Can't wait to see it finished.
