  1. You got the kit for 18 bucks ? Thats a killer deal. I thought I did good getting it for 40 % off the 60 dollar cost. Maybe I should go back and see if they have another on sale. I would buy another in a heartbeat for 18 bucks. I hope to shoot the satin black lower portions of the body tomorrow and then finish this thing up. It is a great kit that goes together very well.
  2. Wow ! That is really nice.
  3. Very nice diorama.
  4. Didn't think I was a purple fan but that looks great ! Nice job.
  5. These pics are posted elsewhere but I thought as a tribute and in honor of Mr. Shelby I could post them here as well. As you can see I was a huge Shelby fan. Rest in peace Mr. Shelby, you will be missed.
  6. That Camaro looks sweet ! I look forward to seeing more of your work.
  7. Very nice job.
  8. That thing turned out great ! Creative idea and perfect workmanship.
  9. Thats a heck of a good looking engine.
  10. I have used that Icy Blue. It's a pretty nice color.
  11. You did a great job. Too bad like a lot of kits they tend to sit too high. That being said it takes nothing away from the very nice job you did.
  12. You might want to try a semi gloss black instead of flat black. You could also try some Future on the flat black or spray some gloss but that may make it too shiny.
  13. Thats cool. Can't wait to see it finished.
  14. That is coming along great. My build has stalled out till I can go get some satin black to do the lower body sections.
  15. Maybe "Goof Off " would work if the paint is dry and you were very careful with it. Depending on how much glue is on the paint could you carefully wet sand the glue and then touch up the paint with a small brush. Not sure either of these methods would work. Good luck.
  16. Not a fan of that type of car but that doesn't mean I can't tell when someone is doing grate work. You are doing a nice job and car is looking very good.
  17. I did consider putting it on the roof but wasn't sure I even liked it on the hood and trunk. Do you think putting it on the roof would tie it all in and look better ? What about just leaving them body color instead of doing them with the BMF ? The side trim will be BMF covered.
  18. After seeing all the fantastic 49 Mercs on this forum I decided to try my hand at one. Not much done yet. I wanted a two tone paint job so I added some half round to the sides to allow for the 2 tone. While doing that I for some reason decided for something different I would add some down the center of the hood and trunk. These will be covered as the side ones will with BMF. Not sure the hood and trunk strips were a good idea. Time will tell I guess.
