  1. I like to cruise ebay and often times look and the finished builds. I always see models claiming to be "pro built". I began to wonder what consitiutes a "pro built" model ? Does it mean someone who can sell his builds ? Is it someone who makes a living at building and selling models ? Is it someone who has built a lot of models in his lifetime ? Is a nice clean build up with good detailing and great paint a "pro build" ? Whats you take on what is a "pro built " model ?
  2. What he said !
  3. Very cool build Ira. Can't wait to see what your mind cooks up next !
  4. Thank you guys !
  5. Looks very nice.
  6. Looks great Ray !
  7. Very,very cool. Nice work !
  8. No, that body is resin and is meant to be used to do the Psycho drag car. I could not locate decals so I just did my version.
  9. I don't know why some people think there never was an accurate Daytona kit. You fellows must have forgotten about these two gems. Ok, I was just kidding. There is a Daytona Cobra in there some place ! : )
  10. Thank you guys.
  11. Thanks Bill. I really would like to fix that front window because it is so bad. Looks like a rear hatch from another car. Not sure #1 if I could fix it right and #2 not sure this kit is worth the effort. I'll see how the chassis works out and decide if I want to cut or take my Dremel to that windshield.
  12. I am calling this build done but it really is not. I still need to figure how I want to mount the body to the chassis. For now it is just sitting there. I will have to revisit this build at a later date. Anyway, Bantam Blast kit with resin body. Paint is Icy Blue followed by clear and a polish with Novus. Engine has plug wires and tail lights and parachute if from the parts box. Nothing special but looks good in the cabinet. Thanks for looking and comments pro or con are always welcome.
  13. Check out how screwed up they actual model windshield is compared to photos from box. Not even close.
  14. Got this kit due to a thread in another section about milti-piece bodied kits. Thought I would try one again. I can now say that I didn't like them 50 years ago and I don't like them now. That being said I am going to try and build and finish this thing. Plans call for a 289 V8 which I think will fit and also upgrade at least the rear tires and wheels. This nmay or may not get finished, we will see. Thanks for looking.
  15. Very cool build !
  16. Thanks guys. Gordon, I bought the body off of ebay. I don't know who cast it but it was done very nicely and needed almost no cleanup.
  17. Nice. That's going to be a sharp looking car.
  18. Thanks Carl. I wish I could lay down a paint job like you do !
  19. Found some time to work on this a bit more. Little more done on the chassis and the body has been decaled and polished a bit with Novus. Should be able to finish and put in the "Under Glass " section soon. Still working on a way to mount body to chassis. In the photos it is just sitting together.
  20. Picked this up today at Hobby Lobby. Looks like a nice kit.
  21. Very nice build.
