  1. She is doing a great job, you must be very proud. That hat is just to cute.
  2. wow, WOW!!!!!! You did a remarkable job on this, I love all the little detail you put into it.
  3. After looking at all these builds of the Lonestar I have to go get me one. Very nice work you are doing. Thank you for the step by step instructions, they will come in handy when I build mine. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing more pictures.
  4. For flat glass I have used CD cases. You have to be careful cutting it because it cracks easy but it does work. For curved glass I have used a clear plastic sheet you can buy at hobby stores, it is about the same thickness as a CD case. You can make a mold with clay and then lay the plastic over it and heat it up with a hair dryer and it forms to the shape. Sorry but I am not sure the name of this type of plastic, it has been years since I bought it.
  5. Justin, Yes the sleepers are made of plastic. The red Pete's sleeper is made out of CD cases but for the bigger sleepers I bought plastic sheets from the hobby store. Here are some more pictures for you of the sleepers. Just want to remind every one, these were my first scratch builds and were done about 7 years ago, back then I didn't know all the tricks and things to modeling so the detail on these are crappy. Now that I have learned allot more tricks I am going to redo these. Here are a few morw pictures.
  6. Well I didn't but because you asked I do now. Here are the first three pictures I posted, hope this works right.

I have 7 or 8 on the work table right now that I am working on and need to finish, hopefully some day I will get to build them. Here are two more trucks that you can find at paper-replika.com, I really wanna do them and customize the white Pete.
  9. I don't know what I can say that every one else hasn't already said, this is truley remarkable. Your skills and attention to detail just blow me away. I will be following this build for sure. I love the Hemtt, I drove one in the Army with the THAAD missles on the back. It is a fun truck to drive.
  10. Everything is powered by a 12v power, the motor 750 watt 36v

  13. Greetings every one. I have been lurking here for a while and decided to join today. My name is Shaun and I live in NW Arkansas. I have been building models for about 35 years now. Ever since I can remember I have been into the big rigs. Drove OTR for 10 years and then went into the Army for a while. Before I went into the Army all I did was plastic but when I got out of the Army 4 years ago I started modeling with paper, I found it much cheaper. After looking at this forum for awhile I am getting back into plastic. Here is a pic of a few trucks I did. They are the 1:32 diecast trucks you get at truck stops. A few of them are still unfinished. The second pic is of the International Space Station and it is all done out of paper (card stock), and the third pic is a C-130 gunship done out of paper. I have tons more but don't wanna bore you to much with all my pictures. Thank you for having me and I look forward to talking with y'all and learning some new tricks and tips. Shaun
