  1. Finally done! Other work at the shop kept me from finishing it as quick as I wanted. Basic body will include a template to cut out a rear package tray from behind the seats, or perhaps cast the extra piece if there's enough interest. Let me know what you think.
  2. All have it out real soon. just a little more final detail work. sam
  3. its getting closer. will post pic soon sam

  9. Look at the slack on the blower belt. must be a prank
  10. When i was little in the early 1960s, there was a dodge/ plymouth dealer that sold fiats and volvos
  11. HF has a 5 minute epoxy that dries clear and works good. there jack stands are actually are real good, but the rest of the tools i have seen are junk. i bought one of there soldering irons in a pinch and it caught on fire.a friend of mine used to to work in there corporate offices and said they get sued daily for one thing or another. i use there hand tools at self serve junk yards. if i loose a tool in the dirt is no big deal, i chock it up the cost of the part.
  12. I think i must have gotten a 1967 in 66 box. mystery solved
  13. I got it in 1966. my dads car still smelled new. it did have the secret agent parts. it did not have the slot car flat interior.
  14. I have a question that I'm hoping somebody can clarify for me. I had gotten an original issue 1966 Charger when I was a kid and it had the blue car on the box, but it came with the clear hood and the fuel injection and two piece plastic slicks. I've since, almost 50 years later, acquired another '66 MPC Charger, original issue with the same box art as I remember as a kid, and it doesn't have these parts, or even any reference to them on the instruction sheet. It looks like the original 1967 kit is the one that came with the above mentioned clear hood and fuel injection, etc., but I distinctly remember it coming in the '66 box, partly because my father bought a new '66 Charger at the same time and I remember these details distinctly. Is there a different issue of the '66 Charger, or how did these parts end up in the '66 box? Any explanation or ideas? It's been bugging me for a couple years now. Sam
  15. Yeah Where did you find that picture? my friends dad owned that car when the add was on tv. it was a lot of fun riding in that car when i was a 4th grader. fake blower and all.
  16. I'm going to be in Tucson AZ for the next week and wonder if there are any cool hobby shops, model car meets, cruise nights or anything else to see or do? Thanks, Sam
  17. No, but I wish I was. Realistically, I don't have enough inventory to do a show at this point. I probably won't be really up and running for another 6 months. I'd much rather make masters than cast, but sooner or later I'll have to start casting. That's really clean workmanship. Sam
  18. What he said. Nice to see somebody gets it.
  19. Thanks for the picture. That's actually a big help. Thanks, Sam
  20. Since this about '51 Chevys, why did you post pictures of Oldsmobiles? What Oldsmobile calls the Club Sedan is referred to as a Fleetline in the Chevy world. I always thought that was obvious. First picture is of the '51 Chevy Business Coupe/Sport Coupe. Yes, a Sport Coupe has more options, a Business Coupe is a stripper. The bottom picture of a '51 Chevy Sedan. If you can't notice the differences, there's nothing I can do to help you. Somebody produces the sedan in resin. Not sure who, but my customer has one. Sam
  21. Say what you will. Everyone's an expert. The client I'm building this for is a car collector who owns just about every example of a 1950 and 1951 Chevy built. He's satisfied this will look just like his Business coupe when finished. I'm satisfied and so are about 2 dozen other people who want one. The Sedan has a longer roof and a shorter trunk. Google the images and see for yourself.
  22. I've only seen the Sedan offered. I started this job on request of a client who couldn't find a Sport coupe anywhere from anybody.
  23. Available soon-- 1951 Chevy Business Coupe, sometimes referred to as a Sport Coupe. For use with AMT '51 Chevy hardtop kit.
  24. Blast from the past. I'm thinking of re-issuing this body. I'm cleaning up the master right now. Is there any interest. Thanks for looking, Sam
  25. Just completed: Stinger and Cowl Induction hoods for Revell '67 Camaro. Will be available soon. I have to get my pressure tank back online. Dana Chevrolet and L88 hoods for the '67 Camaro are in the works right now. Thanks for looking, Sam
