The Early Years

Hello Everyone, My name is Jay Michaels, I have been building models for 17 long years. i stared when i was 5 years old building models with my dad. My first model was a Snap Tite monogram # 4 Ernie Ervin Kodak car, i believe it was a 1/43 scale. Yea those were the good old days. My dad died back in 2003, i have to say i steped away from the hobby for about 5 years untill one day the wife and i and her son walked into a local hobby shop. My step son wanted to build a model. and the rest is history. I did notice the industry has changed over the years and the detailing envelope has been pushed over the top. The reason why i did get back into it is cause my dad showed me so much stuff and i have to keep it going to make him proud and to make myself proud.

2013

in 2013 i started becoming more involved in the resin world i started a company call Model Car Solutions where we sold resin parts and also kit parts the we refurbished back to new. In mid 2013 we combined (MCS) Model Car Solutions and (JMD) Jay Michaels Designs as one company where we slighlty changed the company format. where we would still sell great products and bring in my car designs to sell which in the long run it has worked out great.

2014

In 2014 jay became the Gm of Inside & Out Hobbies located in Nashua NH Jay started to forget where he came from he was a model builder at heart a made two companies that worked so in April of 2014 MCS AND JMD moved up north to New Hampshire an fell behind on resin making but went back as a builder. as JMD continues today as a builder he is working with another partner to create new ideas and resin plans for 2015 which will be called Southern New Hampshire Plastics.
