Yeah I sanded and washed the body before priming it, that scratch is a dent that was in the model when I bought it, o font have any putty to fill it. For got to get some the other day when I was at the hobby shop

iam still waiting on my dodge ram monster truck to get here, beem looking at alot pics and a lot have rust/weathering i think mine will be shinny gona use the createx peral color red and blue on the body with black interior with white flocking. figured id be different . i cant wait to get shiuld be in the mail any day been waiting for a week for it. the post office said it got re routed also started working on my camaro ss for my brother today. i think iam going to create a fotki account so i can upload step by step pics of the build. this fourm has opened up a whole new world to me and oh doc i need to get a hold you whats the best way to do that. id like to get your book and a decal sheet.

My local hs is almost all rc stuff, they had a small half shelf selection of model cars. It's depressing cause I have to get 90 % of my stuff online because my hobby shop is 25 mins away you would think for a city of 40,000 we would have a hobby shop. I have to drive at least 30 mins to get a Michaels or hobby lobby. I really do wish someone would open up a HS in my town, if I had the money I would. Maybe its about time I start saving up and open up a small shop. I wonder how much it would cost to start one.

Ordered a pasache h airbrush,flocking, and created Peral paint, got an new organizer for my paints and started priming my 69 camaro ss. Also got a monster truck coming today in the mail. Createx Peral paints sorry for the spelling mistake

Iam new to the hobby only on my 2nd model build. Iam takin my time on paint on this one. My question is after sanding the body and washing it how long do I have to wait to paint and should I wear gloves while painting, so I won't get finger prints all over the body. Also I ordered an pasache h airbrush from Dixie art can't wait till I get it as it will be my first air brush.

as you can tell i got glue on the windshield. but after reading this fourm i know how to fix that problem on my next build.

i am big vols fan, grew up about 30 mins east of knoxville. and i used the testors spray can for the body and just the lil testors jars for all the lil parts.

My first build is coming to an end, wish I would have taken more time.with this but I will only get better as I do more model, really enjoy this hobby, my next project is a 69 camaro ss.

i got both gray and white primer, so ill shot some white primer on the body. i tried the gray primer with yellow on a plastic spoon and had to do three coats to cover it.

figured i would try it, it was only 97 cents. yeah its kind of thick so i figured i would have to thin. i put some primer on a plastic spoon and then put the paint on. it turned out better then i thought it would. trying to find a yellow in dupli-color is harder then i thought went to three stores and couldnt find a freakin yellow

i meant iam 24 not 22 dont know why i was thinking that. guess we all got to get older :) and doc is a insperation to me. hope i get to be that good some day. with a lot practice i will be able to some day. I like this fourm a lot to helps me out a lot, coundt do this on my own well i could but it woudnt be near as fun . As iam new to the hobby i dont have a lot people in the hooby i know but on here its doc by far. and a lot of guys help answer my question, so i guess i could say this fourm is insperation to me as well. really wish i woulda got into this when i was younger but never late then never. I learn a lot on this fourm.
