  1. I agree. Those are very annoying especially on chrome.
  2. I meant to say on the workbench. Sorry about that.
  3. I found the lowered Mustang. Go under "ON the bench" on page 3. Scroll down until you see 1/12th Mustang. It shows the rear lowered. Not sure if he did the front.
  4. I thought there was someone on the site that had this model & lowered it. I cant recall where I seen it but it was on this forum. It looked sharp. Not sure how it will look when you paint the satin black. Guess you will find out when you paint it. Did you use high gloss clear coat? That car shines. :)
  5. I will be painting mine flat black then tape off the stripes & then use either metallic black or gloss black. Trying to do the ghost stripes & I was told to use flat black on the whole car then mask off the stripes then paint it the other shade of black. I noticed I repeated myself. Sorry.
  6. Cant wait to see it with the decals & all finished. I have a metallic color but wondering how it will turn out. Mine will also be done with rattle can.
  7. Cobraman, Did you airbrush or rattle can the rims? How ever you did them, they look sharp. I still have to use the easyoff on mine when I get started. Also how much BMF did you use? I see some areas that look like they have BMF on them. Sorry about the questions.
  8. I agree with cobraman. Who makes that kit?
  9. That is the most detail General Lee I have seen. What an amazing piece of work. Good things come to those who wait. Why rush it when you want it to be the best it can be? Love it very much. Congrats on all the time effort & detailing that went into this model. :) :)
  10. Cobraman, Thats looking sharp. Hope to start on mine next week. Gotta finish my camaro first. Nice shade of yellow.
  11. I used testors enamel paint with my airbrush.
  12. Hey gang, I just painted the 70 1/2 Camaro yesturday. Question is, how long should I wait before I clear coat it? I was told at least 2 to 3 days. Also do I bmf the trim before I clear coat or after? Thanks. Kirt
  13. Yeah that was me that asked how you did the gauges. I have a Michaels close by so I will have to check them out. Thanks for the info. Looks like I will use the stock rims with the firebird model.
  14. Brodie, Yes those are the wheels that are on my car. I think they will be very hard to make. I'll look into something else but I want to keep it as close to my car as possible. Thanks for posting the pic.
  15. Very nice stang. Colors look great together.
  16. Hey Jim, I plan on taking my time. Unfortunately I had to strip the body & will be starting over.I was using laquer paint & I was too far away. It dried before it hit the body. I was about a foot away when I should've been only 6-8 inches away. hope next round it will turn out better.
  17. How about making some yellow stripes for the seats? Although it would look good without the stripes. I see you're going with the colors of my real truck... black & yellow. U should name the Mustang Bunble Bee. LOL. Looks very nice so far.
  18. Hey Jim, You got a good trade from Michelle. I havent talked to her all week. She gave me some helpful tips on how to do my 1/12th Mustang. I still havent started it yet. Im working on a AMT 70 1/2 Camaro right now. Trying to take my time as I usually rush thru my builds.
  19. Hey CrazyJim, Nice build on the kit. I havent seen one of those in a long time. I remember I had a resin body of the GTU convertible. That is surely missed as I can no longer find the resin body or the kit.
  20. Toast Very nice Monte. Like the color. How did you paint the instrument panel? Like all the gauges & dials? Thats about the only problem I have. Well that & all the engine detail. LOL. Do you use small brushes on the dash? Let me know please.
  21. Sharp looking Challenger. My most favorite of all the mopars. Like the color combo.
  22. Cobraman, Sorry but there are not the snowflake wheels. I think I will just use the bowling ball rims.
  23. Casey, Yeah I found that out when I went to the hobbyshop. I never scratchbuilt anything so this is all new to me. As for the wheels, I cant describe them. If you see any firebirds with a 20 slot mag ( mainly 90 91 ) then its my style of rim. Unfortunately I cant download a pic or I would show you what it looks like.
  24. That looks awesome. Very nice paint job. What color is the chassis? I have to get started on mine. Hopefully this week. Nice kit. Cant wait to see the car finished.
