Thank You! I believe the AMT cummins has a unit similar. Think that could be made to work? -
Ford WT-9000 Help
Platerpants replied to Platerpants's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It looks like I should be able to fudge it into place in the Cabover frame. For some reason I'm finding it near impossible to find good reference pics of a Cat powered WT or even a Cummins just to see how the 6 cylinders are placed. I did however find an engine swap video on a Cat powdered CL on YouTube. I assume it would be similar to the WT. -
Ford WT-9000 Help

Good Info to have. Thank You. Did they offer an Aftercooled A block? The #D printed Cab I'm going to be using Using I'm guessing is roughly the era of the A block. Could I add an Aftercooler to the Revell engine or would it be too much work? Where would I source one? This seems like I've gone down quite the Rabbit hole. -

Ford WT-9000 Help
Platerpants replied to Platerpants's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Well Got Shipment notification for the Cab so I went ahead and ordered the IH Cab Over kit and a Revell Cat 3406 Engine. So Hopefully I'll be able to build what I'm imagining. You guys already know the color scheme 😂 -

Thanks Guys! I hope I can make this future Ford Project Work. -
Long Time No Post. Anyway I Just ordered Texas 3D'd Ford WT-9000 Sleeper cab. I was wondering if anyone has used these 3D cabs yet and on what Chassis and what modifications would be needed? I have built 1 and have 1 in progress of AMT's Retooled International CO-4070A. I like that kit would it be acceptable to use or would I run into length issues? I'd also like to do a Cat Diesel Could I get away with a Cat 3406? I see a resin one and from an old Forum it appears that is the engine in the Revell Snapper Pete 359. I'm not a Big Rig aficionado But I do want a Ford Cabover in my small fleet of Trucks. Any Help is appreciated. This is the Engine I found that I might want to use: https://stsupplyco.com/products/caterpillar-3406-diesel-engine-kit-1-25-resin?_pos=2&_sid=d70c89d7a&_ss=r This is the Cab I ordered: https://tx3dcustoms.com/products/ford-wt9000-kit This is the Base Kit I'm thinking of Using: https://www.amazon.com/International-Transtar-CO-4070A-Semi-Tractor/dp/B08TMSPHHF/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3685BX7XDXNJA&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.urExtf3J7Ff94nBDJ-0ZPTBSWW_aO61g6wO2jSp-e0srrKuw1AbULsUxmVlwNFDd3ckLoUwJmoWkITSP3bOszg.Ds7S34bJW1Czzdg0Ti89DQrpoBXazLrD9gMIUH_y7Uo&dib_tag=se&keywords=amt+international+transtar+co-4070a&qid=1747567397&sprefix=amt+international+co%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-1 And For Fun I'll attach Pics of "My Fleet" I Do have a few more WIPS but These are my Completed Big Rigs Thanks!

Dodge Shadow/Plymouth Sundance Body?
Platerpants replied to crowe-t's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
So I Know there are some 3D Models out there. Not sure on printability though. I Believe EDM 3D has designed files that could be made printable. However you would have to find someone to print for you if you don't have a printer. -

I just got my Order Last week. Took a while for it to actually ship and then the postal service lost it... Hopefully you get your order soon. -
Like the title says. Years ago I traded off the remains my first Glue Kit for a JoHan Superbird body. I can't remember who I traded it off to. It was a Dark Red blown up by Firecrackers 1967 Mustang. I'd like to add it back to my collection if it still exists. I'll attach a Pic of before I blew it up and after. After of course is what I imagine it could still look like. Been years since I traded it off so It very well may not exist anymore or the person I traded with may no longer post.

I don't believe I have ever seen one but maybe Combine 2 of the Revell 4.6/5.4 V8s. If I remember right that is essentially what the V10 is a Triton V8 with 2 extra cylinders.

Did anything ever happen from this? I'm really wanting to convert my 71 kit to a 70. -
I'm not here to take away from him but I will say what I've seen. I have not personally been a customer of his but several of my Facebook friends have. The wait times are huge 1 of my friends has mentioned he's been waiting 6 months now for his order. Now this is where it could seem like I'm trying to take away from his business. The kits he offers are available as files on multiple 3D file sites. That said if you have or know someone with a 3D printer you could in theory get your order sooner. I'm not saying not to order from him but be prepared for a long wait. Those who have received there orders are very satisfied with the products.

Well since I'm visiting the forums I'll share my just finished Mustang GT4. This 1 was almost done last year when I messed up a decal and put it to the side. I finally decided to finish it. Box stock build aside from some extra carbon fiber decals. If you remember my "Shelby Blue Crew" from years ago you'll know this shade of blue gets put on most my Mustang builds.

Long Time no Post. Most my Builds are shared on social media anymore but I still stop by the forums every so often to see what's up. Anyway here it is. My 2013 Boss 302. The Wheels and Tires are 3D printed as are the grills and rear window louvers. The side scoops are from the AMT 67 Shelby. Color is Tamiya Coral Blue. Thanks for Looking.

I'd Be Happy To See a Reissue of this kit. It is a good kit missing the window trim is really the only downside. That and the engine builds kinda weird but that doesn't bother me. I used it to build a replica of the truck I had in High School only to roll it 8 months after buying it. To make my 2000 I had to use a Revell Lightning front end that I had to modify to match the 99+ Nose the wheels and tires were also pulled from a Revell kit and the bed cover is from the Testors? purple diecast with black flames. I miss that truck but boy was it rotted when I got it but as a first vehicle it was awesome. I mudded it almost every day and it kept ticking even after ending up on it's roof. I would definitely buy another Lindberg F150.
