Hey all,,just clearing some kits from the shelves to make room for new builds as this AMT Cal Drag combo kit goes up. Rattlecan Tamiya + Testors spray. scratch built tire rack. Added header collectors on ends of headers. Roll bar padding on roll bar. tach on dash. Aftermarket rear tires. Fuel rails on intake manifold. Mounted distributor at back of motor,,looks a bit less cluttered in the engine bay,,I know its not 'correct" for a real 427 but thats ok. Finally got an indoor spray booth to use,,makes all the sub assemblies faster to pc together,,paint ect. Nice kit,,but a bit campy to put together,,but nothing a dremmel cant fix. Enjoy your builds ,,and theyll enjoy you.. Cheers S

Hey folks,,is it snowing where your at? It has here,,2 inches so far. So models are flyin off the bench,,got this at HLobby on sale for 15$,,they dont have the latest kits but there affordable. Revells 69 Boss 302. Rattle can spray from the hardware store for the body,,kindof mixed it up with the undercarriage colors. Added some x-tra wires and such, nothin contest worthy,,but still looks decent. Hand painted every thing else. Color keyed the bumpers. The engine bay area looked crowded with the braces and such so I just left em off to see the engine bay more. Put a bit larger set of tires on back,,just to give it some stance. KIt went together well for the most part,,Revell did a great job on the kit. Now gotta start the Revell fast and furious Charger with that awsome hemi with the blower stickin out!. Cheers and be safe out there!

I loved the kit and thought about buying another one to make a Mach 1. After all, I remembered the kit having the scoops in it. Well I started to cut out the holes to put the scoops in when I noticed; the scoops are from the GT-500 kit, not the Mach 1! So, now I have a red 302 and a yellow. Couldn't find my decal setting solution, so I was kinda angry I couldn't get the hood right. This is a Revell "Fat Fendered " kit Built to look like a guys real car....I normally don't do this. But my friend ask me to build a replica of his car. In the back ground you can see pictures of the real car. One pic shows the back of the car, one a shot after the Hot Rod was first built...Then Jim decided to Give it a "Shave and a Hair Cut". He removed the bumpers, did a mod. on the tail lights, he also added a brake light....The kit came with a small block so I had to go to the "Junk Box" I found a 302 and rear ford rear end and leaf springs....Over time I found wheels tires, and lots of other parts to built a reasonable look a like. The real car is "Valley Ford Red" and "Dark Cherry".....I could not find exact matches....So I did my best .....Jim has not come to pick up his car. I will give a update.
