Happy building all,,now that everybody,,or most of us have to stay in,,I think model building is a great "social distancing" tool,,just too bad all or most clubs shows + swap meets have to cancel,,bummer:( Oh well,,hopefully all this madness will blow over soon. Anyways,,heres a version of AMT's 59' Elcamino,,I used testors quikdry rattlecan,,and testors bottle hand paint the rest. Ive always liked 2 tone paint work,,and this kits lends itself quite well for that. I changed the top end of 409 mtr,,changed the rims+ tires,,and a bit of wiring,,not a contest car,,just a social distancing tool! LOL

Thought I'd start the new calender year with a WIP, this the AMT Texaco 3100 pick up kit. So far I've: Shortened the bed 6 scale inches, smoothed the body and removed all hardware, re-skinned the tailgate, added an Olds front bumper, swapped the headlights and set it on some nice Caddy wheels and white wall tires. The real change will be the chassis, it will have running/rolling gear from a "67" Corvette.
