I have only a vague memory of this place. A recollection was the name "Car Palace", and eventually a period newspaper describes a business of that name in Somerset, MA. It's interesting the article mentions the Rolls Royce van, as I have found it online in later years, and IIRC it has been restored. I wonder if the Turbo Tub still exists. Washington Post: Clive Cussler, best-selling adventure writer who sought real-life thrills, dies at 88 Because I'm not a novel reader, didn't know who he was. Only because I attended the IPMS Nationals 2013, did I see his awesome car collection. Some of the cars had the book they were featured in, on display. I'll post a few shots of my tour:

When I attended the 2013 IPMS Thin Air Nationals in Denver, took the tour to the Shelby museum, and the Clive Cussler collection. You have to enjoy the irony, of military focused IPMS having tours of car collections. Posting just a few pictures of the Shelby collection, which is a cooperative of several owners. Car #21 is very special, it's the test mule in unrestored condition. IMHO it's fairly easy to build a model that is clean and shiny, but take a look at the patina of that car.
