Beautiful build, Harry! Great color choices, too. Whatever you did to the wheels sure worked well; they have a near-scale appearance, particularly compared to the box-top photo.

A black wash is the secret... B)

The link I posted to a real SS 100 is for the 2.5 litre version, whereas I believe the kit is for the 3.5 litre car. Not much difference, but you can find a ton of choices at Google if you search images at "fantasyjunction Jaguar ss 100". I think the biggest difference between the kit and the real car is the up top. The real car top has a more antiquey look, like a Model T, that bows out more extremely in the upper portion, and the kit needs visible top hardware on the sides.

Very nice model, was the hood hinged like that OOB or did you add that feature?

The hood comes as separate panels with metal piano hinges to connect everything... the hood folds up like the real thing, comes that way in the box.

Killer, as usual. Next, you should try its soul brother, the 1/16 Jaguar SS 100. I can provide tons of reference.

You're a bad influence on me... I just bought one on ebay for $25. Complete and unbuilt, the only problem is it has no instruction sheet, but I'm sure I can figure it out... B)

Or... if anyone out there happens to have this kit and could scan the instructiions and PM me a PDF, I sure would appreciate it.

i have one that frustrated me badly with that same hood issue, i've disassembled it twice to redo it. might just have to live with it as you decided, and put it back together. the blue is fantastic; it has the "look", as all of your builds do.

I have this version, unbuilt also influenced by Mr Skip Jordan purchased after Christmas

I can photo and send the instructions If you need them

I had a bit of trouble but thought the hood went down ok, but I usually pose it with one side open because it is cooler to show the engine

That's the same version i just bought. If you could send me a copy of the instructions that would be great. Thanks!

While you're at it, could you burn a copy of the reference CD for Harry?
