Not sure how well the Johan 69 hood fits the amt 68 roadrunner. But Modelhaus does an awesome 69 6 pack conversion for the Johan kit, maybe you can use the hood on the amt 68.

The Johan 69 hood that Modelhaus does in resin will fit the 68 Roadrunner but you have to add some plastic to both sides and the back edge. The Johan hood is a bit smaller.

Might be of interest, the 68 Roadrunner only had 2 engine options and that was the 383 1x4bbl and the 426 hemi. The 440 was not sold in the Roadrunner in 1968. The AMT kit comes with the regular roadrunner hood with the underhood air box which was an option on the 1:1 cars. If Plymouth had put a 440 6-pack in the roadrunner, the hood that comes in the kit would have been correct except for the HEMI raised lettering on the air intakes, which should be easy to sand off.

Some AMT 69 Plymouth GTX kits had a 68 Roadrunner hood in them and it had 440 markings on it. Some came with the correct 69 hoods. Hart's Parts is great to deal with, they do not have a Roadrunner type hood but they do sell a 88/69 Satellite hood that is plain, no air intakes.

There was a seller on Ebay that had one for the AMT body ( user id was redsxfan I think )

I've seen one listed in a while so I am not sure if he stil has them ,,,Although I bought a few of them so I haven't looked for them either.

I can snap off a couple pics of it on a body it it helps.

So the 68' didn't come with a six pack?... I thought they did... so I guess I better find a Hemi then for an A12 car?..

No Sixpack on any mopar in 1968

You are correct. But there is a guy in my town who has a magnificently restored '68 Dodge RT (or Superbee, I forget which) with a '69 6-Pack type hood on it. It's metallic turquoise overall, including the hood. It takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it is very cool and natural looking. I actually like it.

So what I'm sayin' is, if you want a '69 hood on your '68 Road Runner, and you're not trying to pass it off as "factory stock," then it's your model--go for it!
