Why would you build something like this??

It's no sillier than some of the "show cars" of the late '60s-'70s...or, for that matter, many of the Monogram Tom Daniel "creations."

There's one that runs around here, produced (as I understand it) by a local company that manufactures real shopping carts, and is used as a promotional and marketing tool.

A long time ago, one of the supermarket chains up here would run drawings to win a cart full of groceries. I don't they ever said it had to be their cart.
