Agent G Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 This is my take on Dragon's Pz III N in Tunisia. This is the kit that comes with the extended "winterketten" so I substituted a set of Tristar workable tracks. The sandbags are a resin set by Panzer Art. I made a small base. Paint is Tamiya, mixed by the old Mark I eyeball. Weathering is a combination of oil, acrylic and enamels. G
Roadrunner Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Very cool, G, looks good. I'd like to eventually do an Africa Corps Panzer IV.
cobraman Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Beautifully done. To me, armor always looks better in a diorama or on a base like you have this one on. Well done !
Agent G Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Thank you all! Miles, this is the Battalion Commanders ride. Each symbol represents a different company in the battalion hence the four suits. Kevin, how about a build off? I have one waiting. Ray, I believe that some form of base always puts the vehicle in perspective. I find that a beautifully weathered tank with winter whitewash looks strange just sitting on the shelf. Same same with a desert warrior. G
Roadrunner Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) Kevin, how about a build off? I have one waiting. G No time, G. I'm already working on about six projects now, all of which I'd like to have done for our regional here in September, otherwise it might be pretty cool. And I agree with the base notion; armor, in particular, really needs a proper base to look the part. I'd like to do mine as a destroyed version, as depicted in the Panzerwrecks books.
