TROOPERFRANCO Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 The mercury from revell does not have the bumper guards that the movie car has, so i took the bumpers from the Amt Ford 49 Coupe and removed the bumper guards and adapted them to the mercury bumpers. After that i removed the chrome, applied some putty and ready for the primer.
TROOPERFRANCO Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Because the Mercury from Revell doesnt have mirrors i will use the mirrors from my Audi R8 spare parts then primed and painted with alclad chrome.

TROOPERFRANCO Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Hi guys, some updating building the engine. I decided to use the stock mercury engine tunned with 8 "deuce" carbs. A mock up on the engine bay Edited June 3, 2015 by TROOPERFRANCO
Guest Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Very nice work. Just FYI, though the engine in this kit isn't a Mercury engine. It's a Cadillac. But awesome work anyways! Keep it coming!
Drake69 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Wow! Will that fit with the hood closed?? Beautiful engine, BTW...

BigTallDad Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 While I'm a bit late, here's a link for cars in movies http://www.imcdb.org/ Open the link, type in the movie name, and you see almost all of the cars (including chase scene, filler, blah blah) from that movie.
TROOPERFRANCO Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 New gear shifter, according with the movie
TROOPERFRANCO Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Detailing the cockpit Engine detail with NOS system
socal76 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Just out of curiosity, where did that intake, carbs and carb covers come from? I would not mind using a setup like that on a couple of projects I am working on! Seen lots of three, or six carb, but can't recall what kit has the eight.
