Kit Consignment Table?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has attended or done a show where there is a dedicated table that has "consignment only" items? This would be for people attending the show that have only like 2 or 3 kits to sell and can't justify purchasing a full table but would still like to sell their kits.

I just thought it would be a way to increase the supply and variety of kits available at shows; and the show sposonsor can take either a % or $1 for each of the kits sold. At the end of the show if not sold, the person can take it back home, etc.

Thoughts?

WHO would want to sit behind a table all day? And if a person brought 3 or 4 rare kits to sell, could they TRUST the person at the consignment table?

I think it could end up being a bigger headache for the people running the show than benefit.

A better idea would be to find others to share a table with.

I've never seen that before, but my club regularly will rent a table as a group and sell our spare stuff.

I've seen people come to a show as spectators, with two or three items in a bag, then walk around trying to sell those items to vendors. They seldom sell anything, as their prices are often on the high side for whatever reason.
