shas
Could i use this 55 Chevy Cameo engine in a 55 Chevy Bel Air ? I know the air filter is wrong, but that's easy to fix.
Dwight55
Unless your fussy about color, it should work. 55 Chevy sixes were blue.
oldnslow
Looks like the difference is in the air cleaner. Truck engine, , car engine, the engine in your picks looks like it might be the earlier 50 truck engine, valve cover difference. shas
Thank you guys for answers, i found another 6 cyl. Chevy engine in my parts box. This one has an aftermarket valve cover . Could this work?
Longbox55
Those are both 216 Chevrolet engines, incorrect for any Chevrolet after '53. What you need is the 235 from the AMT '60 Chevrolet truck.
