Nice job! You did toss in some detail so it is an improvement on an out of box build. I'm not crazy about the chassis under it either, I only bought one of them myself. I agree on the Power Slide decals as the way to go.

While the chassis in the Model King kit is not correct for that car it can be built to a decent shelf model. I have a 'hints' section that shows a few things you can do to build a nice shelf model....and the 4 Model King kits I have completed are in the 2008 builds.

That's a beauty Dave! I keep passing those kits up at my LHS because I really don't know anything about them. I may have to try one now.... :)

Super nice build, Dave!! I actually owned a 1976 Laguna S-3. It had a 350 but had a 2 barrel carb. I ordered it from the factory and after I got it I wished that I had gotten the 400 with the 4 barrel carb.

Ok both Daves all your cars are great and thanks for the hints have save them to my favorites. My question is are the tires correct for that era I have pics of some of 1:1 cars but can't tell if they have some tread on them or not or are they slicks? thank for any help

Fantastic build, I had 2 of the #39 mpc's built up when the kit came out. Lennie sure got a raw deal with his team, but that's the old who you know and who like's or dislike's you.

the question of the tread being correct or not is that the GOODYEAR is ok for the time as it was before the EAGLE series came out , but if you look at old pitstop pictures, the tires are slicks with nothing but the depth holes in the surface
