jpc1968
Started a new model while my Jag paint job cures. I thought this model was going to be cheesy but the more I work on it the more I like it. I added a wire to the forward spot light. First time at trying to glue and sand seam lines. So here's a before and after.
jpc1968
Done some putty work tonight. I noticed when looking at pictures for reference that the nose was smooth but the model had a channel down the center. I filled it in. More sanding to come. chunkypeanutbutter
Thanks! I appreciate it! Love to see how this turns out, because I might pick this kit up at some point.
jpc1968
This thing is a beast to paint. Never painted anything this big before and it wore me out.
jpc1968
I don't think I have ever masked this much in my life. Gee wiz. Added second color but that just means more masking. Not as much but some. Then I can start weathering.
jpc1968
I just notice the above pictures are in reverse order. And yet more masking.
jpc1968
Finally removed tape. As you can see it took the base coat with it in some spots, so I'll have some touching up to do before I start chipping and weathering

Roadrunner
I like it. I can sympathize regarding the masking, I'll have a ton of it to do on my 1:350 Enterprise.

jpc1968
Finished chipping. Next is a dull coat and then weathering.

jpc1968
Just a few touch ups and paint the base and this one will be finished. The next pics of this will be in "under glass"
Ridge Rider
That is looking pretty sweet. I can relate to the cheesy thing as that is was I was thinking of the pod racer until I built one. Thanks for sharing.
Danny Lectro
Looks good, John! Nice job on the weathering.
Chillyb1
That looks like a really fun kit to weather. I may have to try my hand at this on one of these Star Wars models.
