Bleach took off the aging chrome in under a minute!

In the bleach there was also a resin sunken licence plate holder that I cast from resin.

Like this un only the centre part though

Better pic of the interior

It isn't the amt 32 interior but it fits well , only problem is that it has lots of glue on it

post-15592-0-47212900-1435431640_thumb.j

Forgot to say that the 32 is a glue bomb in the next few days I hope to get the ride night done.

Sorry for the crappy photos

Looks like a great start!

Nice catch with the corrected headers. I'm building a model with the same engine right now...ended up modifying the kit heads to accept Ford y-block headers, which are similar in shape and have the same spacing as the Lincoln Y-block.

The other thing you might want to correct is the distributor location--MEL 430 has it in the front, but Lincoln Y block is angled about 45 degrees and mounted in the back.

Thanks for the info I didn't notice the distributor problem

It's a rear roll pan carved from ceder and sealed with white glue. After that I covered it with bondo to smooth it out.

Another project awaiting paint

The interior was cut down and widened the seat still needs to be shrunk?

Since my budget wouldn't allow a resin fire wall I made a recessed

Small update:

Body/ frame primed

Body will be black, engine red and interiour white

Took a "Duvall" from the horrible lindenburg boattailed speedster(did I say the kit is horrid?) a read awful kit/ the only reason I used it cuz I didn't find any from the amt kit

This one is going to slow down a bit cuz I started a second build (3100 chevy step van) but it will still get finished before deuce days next year.
