Bennyg Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Wow. That Porsche 918. The i8 looks pretty good too. Ben
jbwelda Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 >I browsed an LHS today and saw the "new" ROG kit of the 2001 Chevy Impala police car. It was priced at $35. does that reflect the retail list price or is that price inflated due to the "personal service" offered by a LHS? >Same kit in the US Revell box was about $15 - $20 in most recent issues. so...its cheaper but hey by the way: the body is ruined. go team jb
FordRodnKustom Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I wish someone at Revell...somewhere in the global entity owned a set of functioning calipers, That says a lot. Agreed.
Bennyg Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 When they box the 918, maybe they should include the parts for both versions. Maybe it would cost less rather than have 2 different boxes.
blubaja Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 When they box the 918, maybe they should include the parts for both versions. Maybe it would cost less rather than have 2 different boxes. But two versions in different boxes could-in theory sell double the kits. I am getting both.

tmathew1us Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I wish someone at Revell...somewhere in the global entity owned a set of functioning calipers (sigh) I have to agree with this quote, Wheel and tire size discrepancies seem to be a chronic issue at Revell, moreso with their kits of modern cars. I once wrote to them about considering increasing the size of the wheel and decreasing the size of the tire sidewall, and got a generic response that essentially amounted to "noted." Now that my complaint has been logged, I am super-excited for the Porsche 918!! IMHO it is far and away the best looking of the triumvirate of super-duper cars of today (McLaren P1 and La Ferrari). I can't wait to do one up in Gulf livery I am also hopeful that they will include both versions in one box, but if not, put me down for 2. Thanks so much for posting the pix, my appetite has been whetted.

They are going to be two separate kits http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=002152672&I=LNFDLH&P=K http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFDLJ&P=7
