MAGIC MUFFLER Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Tony was a good friend and I spent many days/hrs with him hanging around the shop. I even did work for him periodically when cars needed to be finished. He was generous and always gave me his memorabilia. From clothing to eng parts to old orig paper work, he always had to hand me something. Tony was amazing with his stories too. Watching him work, you could see why he was an amazing craftsman! Tony gave me this kit when it first came out. I started on it and nearly finished it. Put it away and got on other things. Thought I would pull it out of the box and take a few pics of it. Just needs a little tinkering to finish it for the shelf now. Not as detailed as some of you guys on here but I'm ok with this one.
Mike Kucaba Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Indeed. A pioneer of the drag racing scene to have known.
10thumbs Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I like this car because it's not a Hemi and it just looks cool. I can imagine me building early "rail jobs" in the future. This one looks very clean and period correct.
Daddyfink Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 he was in the hollywood nights movie, correct? He made just a small cameo, you might miss him if you don't pay attention!
JTalmage Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 he was in the hollywood nights movie, correct? Yep, the scene where they present a member of the car club w/ the yellow car they've been building for some time in secret.
