I found this kit in my garage way up on a top shelf in a large box I totally forgot about. There were 7-8 other kits I bought way back in the late 80's early 90's...some old NASCAR kits a couple of prostock t-birds and a Datsun 510 bre and 280z bre road racer kits..After finishing my "65 Galaxie I had the urge to build another tugboat..I saw this 65 Bonneville kit and had to start this one. I know this would probably make a good lowrider but nah..not my style..I'm gonna build it similar to the galaxie I just finished but not in two tone..I have somesome different shades of metallic and pearl greens and blues or go with black. Here's the direction I'm going in with this one..also any ideas on how to deal with those huge mild lines on the front bumper..suggestions / ideas welcome thanks guys

That mould line is a hard one to remove . The only thing I could think of to help would be to sand out the line and then BMF the  whole end area

The mold line is actually not bad to remove. A lot of material to work with. I removed mine with really good results.

Trim with a knife, sand and smooth. I went with a fine foam board, then wet sanded with 400 then 800. Try not to sand all the way to the front corner. Use ultra bright BMF on the sides, trimmed near the front corner with the line of the bumper. Then rub the heck out of the BMF with your shirt or a sock. A tiny bit of polish may help, but I I just rubbed it.  Nobody will notice unless you point it out.

Bonnie update..removed very few mold lines, the quality of this kit is pretty good although its a fairly simple kit with not too many parts. I  primed and painted the body / hood and some kind of rear interior cover (not sure if I'm go on a use it) using wicked acrylics color pearl red slightly reduced with wicked reducer it air brushed on very nicely..the pics don't do this color justice it just pops with nice pearl and metallic I was very surprised at the color. It should look pretty good being I'm going mild custom wit it..
