Snake45 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Bombers didn't have white walls last I checkedI can show you several pics of P-51s with whitewalls. I think I've seen one with redwalls, too--the world's first red-striped tires?
Snake45 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Well, two of those are movie airplanes from 1970. Still, "car-izing" airplanes seems to work out slightly better than "airplane-izing" cars.

Brett Barrow Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 This one is.... well, it's not hideous. Not by much, though, it's pretty ugly. I think the Roush P-51 (Ford) Mustang is the only one to get it right, because the airplane cues are very subtle.
Crazy Ed Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 One of the Good Car/Warbird's was done by a guy In Oz that stuffed a Merlin Engine into a 55 Chevy.
