chunkypeanutbutter Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Just like the title says - how much should I expect to pay for the AMT/Ertl Ford Louisville Snow Plow kit? I'm thinking of getting one for a project from a music video - bed loaded with speakers. However, I could only find one on eBay and it was $100...
Superpeterbilt Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Thats about what theyre going for. Occassionally you can catch everybody sleeping and get one at a reasonable price.
mikemodeler Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Check with some of the guys who sell collections- Jim in Ohio, Fred Sterns, Dean's Hobby Shop- they might have one or might have one coming in soon.If you have any shows coming up in your area, you might find one there.
Aaronw Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 The last reissue they were $50-60, and that was probably 5 or 6 years back, so $100 on ebay isn't surprising.
Old Buckaroo Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I saw one sell not long ago for a few dollars under $40.00 . I had it bookmarked but was out of town when the auction closed. It was the original issue.
Chuck Most Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) I have no idea if it's on the docket for a reissue as of right now, but given how Round 2 operates I'd not be surprised at all to see it reissued within a few years if not sooner. If you don't "need" the kit you could always wait it out for a reissue and pay about forty bucks. Also going by past Round 2 reissues, it *might* even come with a better decal sheet than previous versions. Barring all of that, as has been mentioned, just dig a little deeper for something more in your price range. You could even consider a started or incomplete kit if you don't mind a little tinkering.
