geemoney Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 so cool!i've seen the intake, never knew you could get one on a cobra!! I have a 1:1 single 4V cobra intake in my stash!
Speedfreak Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Looks good JC, wouldn't the horse power change with the 2x4V intake? The interior looks great too, the seat belts and hardware look very good.
afx Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 Looks good JC, wouldn't the horse power change with the 2x4V intake? The interior looks great too, the seat belts and hardware look very good. Thanks Gene. Yea the output with 2x4 intake was rated at 300HP and Webers bumped it to 325HP
mustang1989 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Man the details are all there on this one JC!! Keep givin' it hell!!
Art Laski Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Great work, JC! You're making some good progress.
afx Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Thank you gentlemen for your interest. The Dragonsnake's interior was almost bone stock as was the dash layout. After painting the dash I flattened the end of a toothpick and rubbed the paint off the gauge faces and the bezels. I'll flow in some Future to simulate a lens. Click on the photo to see the image full size, You can read MPH and RPM on the gauges. I will do the dash on my COX6010 build the same way. Edited February 15, 2016 by afx

afx Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Good grief! Note to self..."Gotta remember to read the black thingy's on the white page" Sorry 'bout dat JC. No problem Joe. I just look at the pictures myself sometimes.
Speedfreak Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Gauges with lenses. Jeez JC, what ,..... did you BMF the dash first?
afx Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Jeez JC, what ,..... did you BMF the dash first? No BMF Gene, just lightly rubbed the paint off to expose the white plastic underneath.
Speedfreak Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 So it just gives the illusion of chrome? Or, are the bezels supposed to be white? 'Cause it sure looked like chrome in my minds eye. Good job! you know that '29 roadster i recently did? there are a few small places on the front end chrome where white showed from clean up sanding etc,. I was going to touch them up but the places that I did touch up with MM Chrome Silver were more visible than the places I just left white! You can't see them unless you know 'exactly' where there are, cool little trick.
afx Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 They should be chrome Gene but I am satisfied with them white. This technique gives a nice clean line around the bezels that would be hard to duplicate with paint or even silver marker. In addition with the hardtop installed it will even more difficult to tell they aren't chrome.
Speedfreak Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 lol, you are so right JC! You 'have' me fooled. I just now looked at the photos again and it 'still' looks like chrome, wow. Carry on.
