FullPowerGarage Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Hi! Some of you might know my Vandura project, I need a lot of replacements parts so I ended up buying this one. Not exactly what I needed, so I started building it, to gain experience. Did so custom stuff on it, like red accents, red bowtie in front, want to paint the wheels black. It's all just dryfitted. Tips & advice are welcome.
lghtngyello03 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) Awesome job so far. Is this the kit that comes molded in this color? If not what is the color, and it's definitely slick. Gotta build one for myself. Edited August 21, 2015 by lghtngyello03
Johnny1973 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Looking good so far.If it the Revells pre painted Camaro what you might want to do is cut the front axle rod to fit the front tire under the body otherwise it may stick out. When I built the 2014 Mustang for Revell I had to cut the front axle rod down as well.

FullPowerGarage Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 Is prepainted, but veeeeeeery ugly done, the trunk has big 'stain'.. Thanks for the positive advice.
FullPowerGarage Posted August 29, 2015 Author Posted August 29, 2015 What do you guys think about the wheels? Feel free to say what you think or should do. Black or chrome? (Do you spot the ugly stain near the spoiler?) All dryfitted.
mikemodeler Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 A black wash on the wheels, dullcote or both would make them less gaudy. I painted mine with gunmetal gray and it looked great.
Keith D Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I would place panel lines definitely on this kit. That would make it stand out a lot better. Other than that. Good job.
Johnny1973 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 iI did iit a little differently, I used a pin vise and drilled the wheels a little deeper, with the holes a little small it let me put the axle in only as far as I needed to.That's a good idea also this why if someone cuts the rod alittle to small they will have problems with connecting the wheels.Great idea!
Johnny1973 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I agree Black or Chrome wheels will look good either why.
