Just ordered mine from Tower Hobbies  $25.98 shipped. Now if hobbytown has the bearing we will be good to go. later bigtim.

Thanks for posting. Is the shaft accurate, meaning no wobble? Or is the replacement bearing you mentioned better for accuracy?

Hello, yes, the main shaft is machined steel and spins true. It spins at a very low RPM, so it should stay in balance forever. The bearing upgrade is suggested as the main bearing in the kit is just a plastic "doughnut" after a good bit of use, it may Waller out a bit so the metal, sealed bearing would prevent this from ever happening.

Just got mine in from an ebay seller in Japan. I replaced the white plastic bushing with a 5x11mm ball bearing (the most common size in Tamiya R/C cars) left over from my old R/C days. Nice little drill, really torquey too. Sure beats spinning drill bits with my fingers.

It was more difficult to get it to run well than any Tamiya R/C kit I every built....but it's working fine now....and yes beats finger spinning bits!
