Im having a problem posting pics, ive posted since the site was updated, without problem, but for the last week or so, i post a link from fotki or photobucket with the same result. Instead of posting the pic, it only posts the url, what am i doing wrong?

Sam , I use photobucket and I had to start using the IMG code at the bottom of the list.  The old forum worked on Direct.  I just click on the IMG link , it highlights in blue,  Then left click for paste option on your thread

Once you submit it "should" give you your picture.

Same here Sam! I still use Internet Explorer and before the site was updated, I had to use my wife's computer which uses Chrome to upload pictures or even post a quote. After the site was updated, my computer worked fine until now. Now neither will upload. I can still upload directly to the site, but Fotki and Photobucket are not working. I realize that I'm a little slow on the computer, but I can't help but think that something is wrong. Help would be appreciated....Brian

It seems like computers are flaky at the best of times.  I cannot access the site using IE from my home computer which is running Windows 7 Home & IE 11.0.22; I have to use Google Chrome.  However, I can access the site using IE from my work computer which is running Windows 7 Professional & IE 11.0.22.  Go figure.

I posted your test photo from Photobucket from my work computer (see above):

Did you use the little button that looks like a chain (say Get link codes), them post the IMG code (bottom right in the list on the pop-up)?

Yes, i did it exactly the way you said, the only thing i havent done is try it through my desktop, ive been using my phone, but i will try the desktop tonight, thanks fellas

I will post responses to posts on my phone, but I do my power posting from my laptop. That includes posts with photos.  For Fotki,  try this:

Once on the Fotki page where your photo is showing, click on the "SHARE" box above your photo.  Once the options come up, at the bottom click the box marked "More Sharing Options".  This will bring up a box UNDER your photo so you will have to scroll down.  In this box, the second option is "Code For Forums".  Copy the text here, and  paste it into the same window I'm now typing in here on the forum.  Ignore the "Insert other media" option.

We don't have a preview mode anymore, but once you hit "Submit Reply" your photo should appear in the same spot in your post as the several lines of text you pasted.

This is a test. It is only a test.URL]http://http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q575/brotherbrian1/Hudson 1_zps0vviywnk.jpg

Ok the first little x-box is the result of clicking "img" on Photobucket like Sean suggested (Thanks anyway Sean). The URL is the result of clicking the link or chain. Everything else results in the continuous and never ending circle cycling after I click insert to post (which used to work by the way). This was using Internet Explorer with both Photobucket and Fotki. Going to try my wife's computer with Chrome next.

Thanks Tom!!!! Once I got the link to copy correctly, it worked. Sorry for all the posts guys, but thought that we could figure this out together. The first try Tom's way didn't work because the link didn't copy correctly. Once I noticed that the code didn't match, I tried again. Here is a try for Photobucket.

It works with both sites. Like Tom said , ignore the "Insert other media". Those of you who post on Hanks, this now posts the same way. On Photobucket, combine what Sean and Tom said: Copy img, then paste. You will not see the image until it is posted. Sorry again for the irrelevant pictures, but thanks for all the help.
