THarrison351 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 This is my version of a Ford F-150 Raptor. My hobby room is still not ready to build in so I have a board I can set on a kitchen table. This way I can put it away so my wife isn't upset. I haven't built anything plastic in a couple of years. My slump buster. It's a nicely detailed snap kit as everyone knows. Some let downs are the tail lights and stickers instead of decals, but it's mean't for beginning builders. I used Testors One Coat Lacquer Flaming Orange, Duplicolor Fabric and Vinyl Charcoal Grey and Testors Flat Black. The rest is just detailed using bottle paint. My picture skills are poor, but it's great to build again.
Davewilly Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Look Great! Sure hope they release one of these as a Full detail glue kit...We need some Current model truck kits.
kilrathy10 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Amazing how that orange looks on this truck.....You did a great job on it.....I did one of these and totally forgot to paint the top of the mirrors the body color.....You did, though, and it looks that much better.....Man, this looks good....I'm going to do the 2017 version in orange when I get them in the mail.....I'll make sure I paint the mirrors.....Great job....
Pierre_tec Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) Amazing job on that Raptor!!!!! Can you please tell how you achive that amazing OEM llok on the wheels Edited September 23, 2015 by Pierre_tec
Ridge Rider Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Very nice. I have one in mid build and would agree with your criticisms and add trimming the excess plastic around the wipers as a doable but more realistic look. I wish the new one was as detailed and had the parts count of this one. Thanks for sharing.
Pierre_tec Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Hey Tim, how you make that OEM look to the wheels?
