HotRodaSaurus Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) This was based on an old Hot Rod magazine feature headed 'Joe Nitti's purple deuce' built way back in the 1970s and probably looks nothing like the real car, neither a Hi or Lo I used what had. Monogram Continental hub caps, Revells Blue Streak tyres, side pipes from Li'l Coffin plus long forgotten other parts. It was also my first attempt at a spray job using real car paint and primers. Hope you like it, I still have it Edited October 1, 2015 by HotRodaSaurus Text added
Danno Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Neat. It's held up well over the years, and the 'style' is timeless!
scummy Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Mate , that is so cool and it fits right in with the way they building them now . What motor is it runnin ?
HotRodaSaurus Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 Cheers, its got or had the kit Flatty, but the hoods glued on and I can't see an engine underneath, I probably robbed it for another project.
rmvw guy Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I like it a lot. Still one of my favorite kits. Wish I still had my first.
Draggon Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 That's a neat roadster you've made. Add a windshield, and a spreader bar at the front frame horns and it looks pretty close.

I did once have the lights but never put a windshield on mine. My white interior was just Duplicolour primer and is as white today as when I first sprayed it.
