I do agree on the paint, but that is a sticky point for me. "Scale Apperance"

I guess I can take it as a measure of improvement in my skills that people are now discussing scale paint appearance in regards to my models.

Ironically, one of the other things I have on the bench is the XR-6 show rod - with its noticeably large flake, which I want to replicate. Sometimes it depends on the subject, maybe?

Very good looking ranchero alternative. With Canadian Pontiacs essentially Chevrolets under the skin I did see an ad for 59 Pontiac bodied El Camino. But of course there were no Chev El Caminos in1962 which makes yours even more unique.
