dub Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Here's one for Nick. * I'm sure CAL and a few others will know this one. Please let Nick see this before answering. * OK, I want a little info about what it is besides just the ID. (Since you are on a minivan kick right now.... )
CAL Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I do too, I can tell you this it has a 800hp F1 V10 for a power plant. Tops out at a meare 194mph and does 0-60 in 2.8 sec. Nice little grocery getter
samdiego Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I have seen it before and am trying to get some memory synapses firing ! The RR inspired grille is the clue. Is it a Roamer with the Rochester-Duesenberg engine? Or is it something more prosaic like a Chevrolet touring car with a RR copy grille on it? Andy Nope, but you are recognizing the same cues that helped sell this car when it was new.
george 53 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 So wot? No ones figured out Sam's Dad's car yet?I'm dyin to know!!!
Nick F40 Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 That is one sick Renault!! Isn't that based off of the Espace van or whatever It's F1 engined and 0-60 on 2.8 sec. back in 95? 96? I could tell it was a Renault by the emblem and the big ass letters on the display. I saw that and started to think and typed it in on YouTube and BAM, I got it!
CAL Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Yup, built by Matra, and is based off the Espace: Formally known as the Espace F1 Mantra. Even had 92-93 Renault/Williams F1 "Active Suspension." Go figure, kind of makes one wonder where in the world they come up with some of there street cars.
