Nick F40 Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 This is some freak Brit concoction. It looks like the 3cyl turbo diesel from the Lupo and Polo installed in a Mk2 Scirocco!!! (It looks lost in there!) This is another British creation. It's a Mk3 Jetta (Vento over there) with a 24 valve VR6 running more ITB's! and this I'm not sure about this one.... I can tell it's supposed to mid mounted, so that seems to rule out any German metal. Is it Italian? wow your good, thought you might have trouble but NOPE! I actually didn't really have an idea on the first one in the Scirocco! THANKS ITB's!!!!!! and yes it is part of an Italian car with an Italian gearbox ...and bolted to a Renault 25 gearbox! hey hey!

Taunus/Cologne V6? 2.3 or 2.9L? Found in Capris, Sierra XR4i, and MkII and III Granadas?
dub Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 you have a Ford alternator, on a VW? No, that Ford motor has a VW alternator on it! Actually they are Bosch alternators on both. This one, when on a VW, is only for 16V motors.

Can't say for sure the only Maseratis I ever worked on were those stupid Chrysler/Maserati biturbos that blew up every 5000 miles, oh and almost everyone had the Rolex stolen out of the dashboard.
