in my view, the best SL Mercedes built in the past - the one code named R129. never gets old in design, always looks up to date...wish i had one in my garage. So i choosed the Kit from Tamiya (No.099), became "for a nickle" a gluebomb...

Painted with Tamiya red for the body, light sand for the interieur and some airbrush for the black parts. the wheels are aftermarket 18-inch AMG-wheesl from Fujimi, lowered the suspension.

enjoy

Clean build, Dominik, as always. BMFing the letters on the bootlid should be no problem if you still have (or if you can mix) a few drops of the body paint. As you already realized this simple measure would add a lot of realism.

I agree with you, the MB 500 is one of those designs that will never lose its looks. It looks as fresh today has when it came on the market and in the future it will just slowly settle into classic. The Tamiya kit is also a winner and goes together with few problems. Congrats on a job well done.
