DIY Wire Wheels..

Hello guys,

I've seen here on the forum info and a tutorial about lacing wire wheels.  Has anyone actually done it?

I don't get the deal about the rims.  I can handle the wiring. 

How do I do the rims?

Anyone?

Got it!

The kit rims should be used.  They're cut in halves, then placed back on after the wires are affixed.

Hi Bill, I'll do exactly that.  I plan on posting stages of the build, and personally I'm real excited about going this direction. 

A vintage late 60's FED, all metal with spoked front wheels.  Even if the first attempts don't work out, I'll stick with it.  We can all learn from mistakes as well.

I'm familiar, the 1st link is a fine tutorial which got me interested.  I noticed too on these links, you were interested as well.  Did you have success?

I'm definitely giving this thing a whirl.
