Chevy Blazer work truck (updated 9-7-16)

This will be a first for me in a few ways. I havent built this kit before, and i haven't built anything but big rigs in the last 2 years since i got back into modeling. I also usually finish one project before starting another.....but this one most likely wont get finished due to my participation in the big rig buildoff coming up in January. None the less here is where i am at so far......

Looks like your off and runnin with this. Remember now, the build off is 10 months, I'm sure this will be great way to give your mind a break from that. If you put into this the same effort you put into your rig builds, this will be an awesome when your done.

Thanks Clayton, this one wont get the full detail treatment.....well i dont plan to anyway. This is more or less practice since i havent built a clean model in a while!

     That is a great choice of subject! And even if you build it plain Jane box stock. It has a lot of potential to be a fun build.

I like the interior color. It reminds me of a 66 Plymouth that I used to have. Nice work!! Chassis and engine are looking good too!!

so obviously i didnt finish by the new year lol, but were nearing the finish line now. i still have some tidying up to do underthe hood and so forth, but heres a few pics of the progress.

Great work Sam! I like the way that you gave the water pump that "replaced" but not painted look. If you don't mind me asking, what did you paint it with?

Nice work Sam,the wiring detail on the engine bay is impressive. color is really good.interior work nice..you can see the color handles..I like that.the interior trim is done well..nice work......Chris

Brian, i used sophisticated finishes to paint the manifolds and the waterpump, its a two part system that actually rusts
