gino Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 originally built many years ago an early attempt at stretching a cab to make a double bunk. it was built as a tractor first then I converted it into a wrecker. it ended up in the parts box until it was recently discovered. I had to rework the cab because I didn't do a very good job putting two cabs together. I gave it a couple coats of primmer last night and i'm happy with the body work. just have go over the bad spots the primer revealed then can paint. I mounted it on a amt peterbilt 359 frame and used the front steer from revell . the 3406 cat is also from the revell snap kit. the exhaust brackets are scratch made. the frame was broken so I had to repair it and made it a little stronger. I spent this morning on a parts search and found just about every thing needed to complete. this is what I have so far.
Old Buckaroo Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I like it and I am glad to see it getting a second chance at the bench. Looking forward to seeing more work done. Nice work on the double cab and the Cat looks right at home.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Nice work!! I've been wanting to putting one of these together myself. I built a resin version years ago, but sold it. This was always one of my favorite cabs. Looking forward to seeing more.
