Lizard Racing Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 When is the best time to remove masking when doing a two-tone color scheme?I have waited until the paint is completely dry, but there is a slight ridge at the edge of the tape.

I also recommend a really thin tape (Tamiya), because it leaves less of a buildup of paint at the separations.
cobraman Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I seem to have better results removing the tape pretty soon after I spray if it's lacquer. For enamel paint I wait longer but I don't let it dry completely. Works better for me. Your results may vary. : )
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Same here.I've found it's best to remove it as soon as the paint is dry enough to handle. Steve
