junkyardjeff Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 My uncle built these two big deuces and big tub back in the mid 60s,I was wanting to do some changes to one 32 but since they are the only things I have left that were his I will just leave them alone. They are a little dirty but I do not touch them much.
disabled modeler Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 NICE...! I have some that were my dads that will remain the way they are...the others have to have repairs done on them.
junkyardjeff Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 When my uncle built them I just thought they were the neatest thing looking through 4 year old eyes.
disabled modeler Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 When my uncle built them I just thought they were the neatest thing looking through 4 year old eyes.Jeff...I know that feeling there real treasures. They may need cleaned or need parts and repairs but to me my dads oldies are priceless to me but most of his were 1/25th scale...I have to find parts for them someday and get them restored.
junkyardjeff Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 I got them when I was about 14 and a few years before he died and is a miracle that I did not do some modifications to them.
disabled modeler Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Jeff there in good hands now....I think its great your keeping them as they were and saving them for the future...some things are worth more than gold.
junkyardjeff Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 I almost forgot about the two Hubley metal models he built for me and will have to find them, one is a 30s Packard and a 30 Model A 2 door sedan.
Belugawrx Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 you might want to think about changing the title of this thread
1930fordpickup Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Jeff that is a nice group of street rods you Uncle let you have. If you want to slow down the dust pick up a 20 gallon fish tank /reptile tank and turn it over upside down on the car. The pet store chains have a sale every now and them. Being you will not need all the extra's that a fish tank needs it should be fairly cheap for you. Just measure away and start looking for a sale. A swifter looks great for dusting the large scale before you put it away. Edited January 25, 2016 by 1930fordpickup
