Superpeterbilt Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 That color looks great Dan. Good call on opening up the grill.
Mopar - D Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks Terry I don't know about opening the grill it was very time comsuming getting all 54 openings cut out. Here's part way through the cut out and then with the grill behind it. Stil need to clean up some edges and then chrome the bars. Also need to fix a couple scratches. Over all I'm glad I did cut the grill out.

Mopar - D Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Terry I know I need more clean up on the bars and I agree it dose make a difference.

Mopar - D Posted March 19, 2016 Author Posted March 19, 2016 Worked on cleaning up the grill cut outs and sprayed gloss black as my primer for the chrome powder if it ever gets here going on 3 weeks since I ordered it from Germany. Also started some polishing on the cab.
BlackDragon Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Great truck, i love the colour. You ordered Uschi's chrome powder? Hope you'll get it soon. It is really great.

Mopar - D Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Made some progress in the interior with the seats and dashboard placement. Also drilled the pilot holes for the running lights and horns. They are just trial fit they still need to be cleaned up and some Amber paint.

Mopar - D Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 My chrome powder came today. I'm going to get a lot of use from this powder it is so easy to use I just used a Q-tip to rub it on and then polish. I'm going to have to replace the O in Dodge my tape pulled it off

Mopar - D Posted March 26, 2016 Author Posted March 26, 2016 Little up date today I striped the chrome on the running lights, bumper and horns and applied the chrome powder. Working fixing the BMF on the "O"
dieseldog1970 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Great job!!!! Edited March 26, 2016 by dieseldog1970
10thumbs Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Looking great Dan, a real tough looking truck, I really like it. Your efforts on the grill are commendable and great detailing.
Mopar - D Posted March 27, 2016 Author Posted March 27, 2016 I sprayed model master ultra gloss clear coat over the chrome powder and it turned it a dull gray so I have to redo the chrome powder. I fixed the BMF and painted the side marker lights. I now have the screen gluded in and the hood hinge back in. The bumper now has CA glue instead of white glue. Limited time tomorrow with the Easter holiday but I would like to get the interior and cab set in place. The top running lights are still just test fitting and also added the Ram head. And also finally fix the broken bar in the grill
gino Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 sweet ! that came out great ! looks mean, great work !
Tesla Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 All your work has certainly paid off! This is a fine looking truck!
