tomsheehy Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 2015: an odyssey only due to the fact that I actually build quite a few models. The year started off strong, but died out in the second half. Now that the new year has begun again, my bench is once again active. Here's a look at my 2015 activity... A resurrection of sorts...an original bombed out JoHan 71 Olds 442 brought back from the rolling dead...new chrome and hood from the Modelhaus paired with triple green paint, interior and simulated vinyl roof... Next, one I've wanted to build for a long time...a stock 77 Monte Carlo. Revell kit, Am Staco tires with parts box Impala wheels, bright red from Tamiya AMT 67 Comet..pretty much box stock except for the 66 Ford dog dish & steelies...Tamiya platinum and simulated vinyl roof. Revell 69 Shelby GT 500 convertible...another box stocker..Tamiya dark metallic blue AMT 68 Roadrunner, sort of a parts box build with a bunch of extra Mopar stuff from builds past...Tamiya gold with vinyl roof, Missing Link taillights and Keith Marks trunk decal.
tomsheehy Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Now some chasers... Lindberg 96 Crown Vic, built box stock as a replica Mississippi Highway Patrol unit Lindberg 06 Dodge Charger, Nevada HP replica Promolite resin 1950 Pontiac, Georgia State Patrol replica Modelhaus resin, 1965 Ford Custom, New York State Police replica, AMT 65 Galaxie donor, full detail with 390 Interceptor engine
Bobdude Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Tom,it appears you aren't in New York anymore.
tomsheehy Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Very observant Bob, you should be a Detective, LOL.... Yes, I retired from the PD and relocated to more tax friendly environs.
Ramfins59 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Great stuff Tom. Yeah, New York is making it almost impossibly affordable to live there in retirement with the ridiculously high R.E. tax rates and utility costs.
Tom Geiger Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 (edited) Nice work Tom! Glad to see retirement is treating you well. I'm here in PA ducking NJ taxes too. My wife would like to be back there to be closer to my daughters but everytime I research houses and see a quarter the house for the same price as my big PA house, with double the taxes, I get more resolved to stay here. Lovefordgalaxie Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 WOW, that '65 Custom is just great. I'm converting a '66 body to four door sedan, but it will take a while still.
hedotwo Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Nice group of builds! A busy and productive year!
vc273 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Very nice builds but the roadrunner has to be my favorite
