Helix Posted April 24, 2016 Author Posted April 24, 2016 Thanks Jon and Dennis, just had a look at yours Jon, very nice mate I've found some decals that will look good on this rather than the yellow I suggested...stay tuned
Canso65 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I like the way the red came out over the silver Ray. Nice job.Looking forward to seeing what your going to do with the decals.Rob
tbill Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Ray, looking good, i like the red and silver. i have yet to 'stripe' a build of a rig, but you have inspired me to give it a try, keep at it
gatorincebu Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 You did a good job with the masking...it looks great! X's 2 That will be cool with a yellow pinstripe added between the red and silver. Be Well Gator
Helix Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 A bit of a set back with this build! If you remember at the start I had to go through all the parts and separate the ones not needed....well seems as though I tossed the wrong bits......exhaust manifold and bracket for the turbo !!! I normally keep all my spare parts but for some reason I tossed these out! Good news is, a friend has helped me and raided his parts box and found the parts I need.....phew I've made progress with this build, just haven't taken photos......I've done the dash conversion using the kit LH dash because the resin RH dash was not very good at all. I'm still deciding on a third colour to break up the red and silver.... Chassis ready to go and as soon as the engine parts arrive, I can install the engine.
Force Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 One lesson for a model builder...NEVER toss anything out, you never know when you need it.I have also learned that lesson the hard way.
Helix Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 G' Day fellas, I started a new Job, so it's kept me away from the bench over the last month! I've managed to sort the engine dramas even with an option if the need arises! I have a good friend and fellow model builder who's been doing some great work on a 3D printer and he decided to fabricate some rear mud guards for me....they turned out real nice! Let me know what you think? Cheers Ray
