can I have dibs on the tires and cat engine from the snap pete leftovers?

Hey Sean. I was planning to use the tires. As for the 3406 I was planning to use it in my engine display.

Did some "engineering" tonight. First figured a way to use the kit's wheel backs along with my Plaskit wheels.

Started looking at fitment of various components.

Cab's not bad. I'll have to either lower the rear or raise the front.

Will have to perform some surgery on the doghouse to allow it to come over the rear of the engine.

This is with the front raised. I think the lower position will be better.

A Viper V-10 in a Big Horn...... who'da thunk it? NIICE work on that V-10 as well as the compressor!!!!! I dunno if I could go the Split ring rims....... The engine has Aluminum rims written all over it!!!!! LOL

EDIT:

I forgot to mention, I'm using the Revell Peterbilt for a Dodge L-700 build! I wanted the Revell kit, to supply rims and tires CHROME rims with matching tires, as well as twin-screw rears. for my Race team rig to haul the "Doomz Day" monster A100 around!  -Among other parts I may use from that kit! -I'd almost kill to get my hands on the pipe and air cleaner from a AMT-Ertl International Transtar II Eagle tractor, to be used on my L-700. but I'm not sure thats gonna happen......

Pat looking good. Yea your right there is a lot of cutting on the firewall/dog house with this kit.

Dan I may come to you about installing the interior/firewall on this thing, at the risk of jeopardizing my eligibility in this competition by asking for help.

The spoke wheels are there to match the other trucks in the fleet.(See first post).

As for the Transtar pipe and filter, let's see what I can wring out of you for it.;)

Cut off the platform at Old Buckaroo's suggestion. The cab sits better like this, thanks for the tip. Swapped the transmission for the one that was on the 8V71 I put in my engine shop dio. Added some small angle to the insides of the frame where the platform was removed. I have to either come up with a drive belt for the fan or stick an electric motor into it. I'm thinking of shortening the wheelbase a bit. I think I will thin out the grille casting to move the cab back a few millimeters. Looks like there is enough meat.

Pat it looks much better sitting lower in the back and yes I would move the cab back a little. I had to remove some from the back side of the front grill.

Added a transmission support crossmember and some cab supports. It sits pretty well now.

Relocated the Snap's battery box bottoms to under the doors. They will become tank supports.

Man, that looks really good.....This is a great looking start.....That engine looks awesome sitting in the chassis.....Great job.....I'd say this thing definitely qualifies as not being a snap kit.....

Pat you have you have your cab set just right now. Are you still going to cut open the hoods?

I'm contemplating it but I am chicken. I have bought both the rod/tubing to do them Guitarsam style and the small phoenix hinges to do them with pre-assembled hinges. I want to practise with scrap plastic first.

Added an air line from the compressor.

Using some styrene and the air intake tubing of the Pete I'm attempting to bring a duct to the general location of the exterior cowl mounted filter. I was tempted to build a bracket and put the filter sideways on the engine but it wouldn't look right without its external filter
