Not sure where to post this, but I was checking to see what discounts Michaels had on this week and starting tomorrow 50% off 1 regular item. Worth the 35min drive for me to hit one up for something new....

didn't check the US site, but since the US does the Canadian site, I'm guessing they'll have it too.

There is a 20% off coupon good until today. The 20% coupon you linked to is for tomorrow only; the 50% off coupon doesn't actually start until Saturday. Just so you don't drive 35 minutes for nothing. :)

Weird, theres a button to toggle to the next weeks coupons, and its 50% off starting the 8th-14 guess it didn't change the link, but if you go to the site page and check the next weeks adds it should show correctly as a 20% off 1 sale or regular price item and a 50% off 1 regular price item.

Either way I'll check in the morning before heading out, but I appreciate the heads up, cause I would of been mad had I got that wrong.

If you open up the coupon it says on it starting Saturday 9 January. They get sneaky with the coupons sometimes.

At Michael's the 50% coupon brings the price of models down to normal Hobby Shop or online prices. Not sure how it is in other cities, but in Winnipeg the selection is poor and the prices are jacked up so high that it is not worth it even with the discount.

You're right, I didn't check the print preview, its Saturday, not Friday. Thanks for pointing that out.

Here, too, but for Christmas the 2 in Hamilton had stocked up, so hoping they have some decent items left, and the 50% off brings them down abit lower than most of the local shops here. Normally I don't make the drive just for this kind of stuff, I have other places to go too, so I lumped them all into 1 trip. Just nice to save 50% off a kit whenever possible.

Thanks again for the heads up on the start date....I'll check them more carefully in the future.

Hey Bruce, yep I know. Its about the exact same distance from where I am to either that one or the one in Stoney Creek just off the linc. I usually go to Hamilton one cause its only 5 mins down the linc to hit the one in Ancaster too if needed. As well I go to Dundas Valley hobbies to get paints. He carries a huge range, much more than the store in St Kitts has now.

The selection at Michael's here in Saint John is rather atrocious. I don't think they've had a restock since September. They also haven't gotten in a restock on the Testors Aztek airbrush paints, either. Its not a very good store to rely on for modeling supplies.

Kind of  captive market out there in the middle of nowhere... ;)

Fair selection at most alberta stores I've checked. Normal pricing here is close to hobby shop retail and coupon pricing taking it below twenty bucks (can) makes it well worth a visit.

I hear you Mike.  Sask is the same way.  35-40 bucks for a kit I can get at my hobby shop for 22
