Hello, colleagues!

I plan to built 14' dump body of 90-s with front mounted hoist, using Ford LT (Snow plow) parts. I would like to built it as close to original as it possible. So now I should determine: which parts I can use keeping the body authentic and which should be replaced.

Now my question about undersructure:

1. Can body longitudinals go through body crossmembers (like in the kit), or body longitudinals should only run under body crossmembers?

2. Can rectangular profile serve as body longitudinals?

I have searched dump photos across the TruckPaper and haven't found the answer. Some photos show channels as longitudinals, some - I-beams, some - rectangular tube (with central mounted hoist and two longitudinals: one set on truck frame and one - on the body). Most of body longitudinals runs under body crossmembers, but not always.

Can anyone help me out of my doubts? May be somebody can point me to datasheet of 12'-16' dump body of 90-s?

I don't know if this is of any help, not really sue what a 90 s dump is, but I did post a Ford LN dump truck in the 1-1 section a couple years ago.

There are as many dump body styles as they are manufacturers, no one are exactly alike.
My best tip is to look at the manufacturers and decide wich one you like and suits the parts you have best...I don't have any knowledge about US dump body manufacturers tho'.
